Plotly is a dynamic, open-source graphing library that creates stunning, interactive, and highly customizable visualizations. At Infinity Insight, we're proud to bring Plotly to Qlik Sense, opening up new horizons for your data exploration and presentation.
Bridging the Visualization Gap
Our vision for the Plotly for Qlik Sense product line is to expand Qlik Sense's visualization capabilities beyond their current boundaries to empower both data scientists and analysts to break free of the limitations inherent in native charts and common extensions. With Plotly for Qlik Sense, you'll harness Qlik's best-in-class data processing alongside Plotly's engaging visualizations, creating a solution that truly brings your data to life.
A Growing Suite of Possibilities
We are rolling out the Plotly for Qlik Sense library in stages, which means you can look forward to new products and updates on a regular basis.
Free Forever
We are pleased to offer the entire Plotly for Qlik Sense suite to all Qlik users free of charge, just like our D3 Magic for Qlik Sense library. It's our way of giving back to the Qlik community!

Parallel Coordinates Chart
Parallel Coordinates Charts are powerful tools for visualizing and analyzing multivariate data. By representing each variable (AKA Qlik Sense measure) as a vertical axis and each data point (AKA Qlik Sense dimension) as a line connecting across these axes, these charts excel at revealing patterns, correlations, and outliers across multiple dimensions simultaneously. They're particularly effective when dealing with high-dimensional datasets where traditional scatter plots or matrices can fall short.
Our Plotly Parallel Coordinates Chart for Qlik Sense takes this visualization to the next level. It's fully interactive, allowing you to select or exclude any number of ranges on any axis, giving you total control over your data exploration. Plus, it maintains a history of your selections so you always know exactly what filters have been applied. This combination of flexibility and transparency makes it an indispensable tool for both broad overview analysis and deep, focused data investigation.

Known limitations (v1.1.0)
- Lines are drawn from low to high value of the coloring column, independent of the dataframe order
- Custom negative number formatting is not respected, will always show regular positive format prepended with "-". Example: #,##0;(#,##0) will result in -123 instead of (123).
- Only numeric measures are supported.
- Selections on charts in non-default alternate states are not supported.
- Calculated dimensions can be visualized but selections will not be possible.
Violin Plot
Violin Plots are sophisticated tools for visualizing the distribution of numerical data across different categories. By combining aspects of box plots with density plots, violin plots provide a comprehensive view of data distribution, including its central tendency, spread, and probability density. Each "violin" shape represents a category (AKA Qlik Sense dimension), with the width indicating the frequency of data points at that value. This makes violin plots particularly effective for comparing distributions between groups and identifying multimodal patterns that might be missed in simpler visualizations.
Our Plotly Violin Plot for Qlik Sense enhances this already powerful visualization. In addition to the fully interactive features native to Plotly, our extension allows selections within Plotly to be passed back to Qlik at two separate levels of granularity. The extension also features fully customizable visualization preferences and statistics overlays, such as box plots or mean indicators, which you can toggle on or off to suit your analytical needs. This blend of intuitive visual representation and interactive capabilities makes our Violin Plot an essential tool for both quick distribution comparisons and in-depth statistical analysis within your Qlik Sense applications.
